Directors & Officers for Non-Profit Orgs

Protects the Directors, Officers and Trustees of a wide range of non-profit organizations for liability that could result in the loss of personal assets while serving on such non-profit boards. Provides protection for losses arising from allegations of breach of duty, neglect, error, misstatement or omission. Whether compensated or uncompensated, individual board members will be protected beyond what state immunity laws provide as protection. (State immunity laws cannot supersede federal laws and regulations, therefore, they provide no protection if a federal regulation is violated - e.g. EEOC.) Coverage is also available for the organization (except hospitals) referred to as "entity coverage", at the underwriter's discretion. Some brokers refer to this as "APL" coverage. Coverage may also be extended to include employees and volunteers.
